My Counseling Approach:

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing techniques from several different counseling theories that I feel will work best with each client. This allows therapy to be more individualized, and incorporate client strengths into the counseling process.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), both evidenced-based, are a few of the approaches I often use. I also draw a lot from Person-Centered Therapy, providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment to process through problems at the client’s pace. Additional approaches I utilize include Narrative, Psychoeducational, Art, and Play Therapies

Hobbies and Interests:

In my downtime I enjoy being outside whenever possible, soaking up the sunshine. I love hiking, bike rides, exploring different areas of the city, trying new restaurants (I have a huge sweet tooth), and traveling. Pinterest is one of my favorite websites to browse to find new crafts and recipes to attempt. I am at my happiest when I am spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
